Online commentators have voiced worry about CNN’s Anderson Cooper, who was injured in the face with debris while reporting live on Hurricane Milton.
Milton, the second hurricane to strike Florida in a couple of weeks, made landfall yesterday (October 9), measuring as a category three storm. Milton was predicted to be very devastating, bringing with it tornadoes and waves about 30 feet tall.
Needless to say, several wa:rnings were sent to the public ahead of time, yet some chose to stay put rather than flee the storm’s route.
Anderson Cooper, a popular CNN anchor, was reporting live from Siesta Key, Florida, yesterday, braving 120 mph gusts throughout his astounding show.
“What does putting Anderson Cooper on a pier in the middle of the ocean during the height of a hurricane do in terms of enlightening viewers? It’s like 120 mph winds. “Get my sweet porcelain glass anchor inside,” one X user said.
“Someone rescue Anderson Cooper from CNN. #HurricaneMilton,” one person tweeted.
“The moment Anderson Cooper gets hit by flying debris in Bradenton, FL. WTF,” a third person said.
“Why is Anderson Cooper out in Milton trying to be Jim Cantore, and why did he get smacked in the face by debris?” Another wrote.
